Oh, wait, is that an ominous threat? Why yes, yes it is.

In order to encourage the inmates to try to kill each other, there is the looming threat of horrible psychiatric care.

Also, we are now taking plotting/suggestions to decide which team will win. (Obviously Bird-mod does not care; either way one of Bird's characters will be getting tortured treated for their mental deficiencies.)

Someone here'll try to convince other people to end in a tie to show 'cooperation' but avoiding, maybe, the main problems.

That's some encouragement alright! I'm perfectly fine with either team winning ^^

Hmm, I'm thinking that Dera will be rather conflicted at first, but in the end he'll probably attempt to secure RED's victory while trying to avoid killing anyone; a chance to learn how Tsuna and the others are doing back home is certainly a strong motivation for this one.

Well. Knowing Medic, he'll obviously try to win. Maybe not for the reward, but because to win. Because that's what TF2 is all about after all. Next to hats...

As for which team would win... Huh... Well. Actually I'm fine with either side winning... Though a tiny voice nags at the back of my mind, telling me that Medic doesn't deserve to be on the winning team. Personally I'd just prefer to say: Let's see what it turns out in the end! Buuut... Not sure if that would be this easy to judge in the end ^^;

Okay, so here is a rough pros/cons list I made:

RED team member advantages:

• Medic is obviously the team's biggest advantage considering he's an actual fucking TF2 character. He is going to want to play this game and he is very well equipped to play it.
• Gokudera is an experienced fighter who will take to his Demoman class, or just his loving reunion with his home weapons, like a fish to water. He also has actual strong motivation to win, i.e. the view home.
• Eridan is a murderhappy punk who would also find the view of home as good motivation, especially because he has no idea how the hell timelines even work anyway.
• Andrea has been shown to find her friends at home to be an extremely great reward, and she has experience with stealth and violence that, though pretty low by Carriero standards, is at least higher than the average human teenage girl.

BLU team member advantages:

• Prussia is a six-hundred-year-old spirit of a military empire, and if this is played right it could cancel out Medic's sheer TF2 nature.
• Samus is the fucking protagonist of like 10000 Metroid games.
• Gamzee is the mOtHeRfUcKiNg BaRd Of RaGe.
• Kanaya has had solid canon potential to develop into an angel of death in bright white covered in blood and wielding saws and what does this remind me of...
• Monoko is part ghost.

Character relationship advantages and disadvantages:

• Pretty much everyone except Medic is going to have at least some degree of misgivings about killing their fellow inmates.
• Samus actually has these to the point of trying to get the others not to play.
• Most of the people who would actually fight with each other (Medic/Andrea/Eridan/Gokudera) are on the red team. Whether this is an advantage or disadvantage depends on how the characters play it out.
• One of the strongest biases of any specific inmates on opposite teams to not kill each other comes from Andrea♣Kanaya♣Eridan. This is a net gain for the red team as they come out ahead two to one. Whether it will be cancelled out by Eridan trying to make out with someone and Kanaya pumping both parties full of syringes has yet to be seen.
• Nobody really wants to kill Canada. However nobody really wants to kill Monoko either so these things probably cancel out.

Overall I expect the RED team to win, but I would very slightly prefer to see BLU come out on top - mostly because I want Kanaya to see herself making Eridan the white science wand, and also because being alone in the asylum for bonding with the BLU team while the RED team is getting therapy will probably be good for her infection with the disease of friendship to progress further. I am biased, I am sorry. Despite these ideas I don't actually object to the RED team winning, like at all. As I've said, it's honestly what I kind of expect...

Rea's not fighting. She would absolutely, no way hurt any of her friends. It would be completely against her character. She would rather put herself through all sorts of pain then hurt her friends. Kanaya is fast becoming one of her greatest friends here and she absolutely couldn't hurt her. She doesn't like Medic; she wouldn't care what happened to him. But her friends, Prussia and Kanaya, and poor Samus as well, she just couldn't hurt them. Equally, she couldn't hurt Canada or Gokudera or even Eriden either but... I dunno what to tell you.

I don't mind what team actually wins, but Andrea probably will refuse to cooperate with either team.

Aw, Andrea, why do you have to be that way... Kanaya in spite of her better judgement has consented to play the game because of Linda's lines about "resistance to the therapeutic process"; she thinks if they don't all play and mean it, all of them are going to be subject to horrible punishment, and so they have to play and one side has to win or lose to at least spare half. However, on the other hand she values her friendship with Andrea highly enough (oh so terribly highly) that she doesn't want to lessen herself in her eyes, and so she's probably going to try to make Rea see reason. If she won't... well, Kanaya is definitely soft enough to not hurt her, the question is the team as a whole. God all this psychology is just driving me deliciously batty.

Rea's problem is that she would rather take everybody's punishment herself than see her friends hurt. She's very self sacrificing this way, and I've TRIED to reason with her in my head, but Andrea's not very prone to sensible conversations.
As it happens though, Andrea's decided in thread that the only person she's fighting is Linda. She has absolutely no interest in a poxy flag, and is going to hunt down either Linda or the dumb computer, which must be around the battlefield SOMEWHERE in order that it keeps sending her messages and the like. LINDA'S GOING DOWN. Or, more accurately, LINDA'S GETTING TORCHED WITH REA'S FLAMETHROWER.
This way, bye bye Linda, bye bye asylum, home to Kelly and Taylor and sadly goodbye to the other inmates, except, yay we're free and nobody's hurt except Linda who deserves it!

Well, Kanaya's not going to sit down and let Andrea kill herself this way. If they turn Linda off, then where will the teleportation technology come from, anyway! Does she really want to be stranded forever in an exact replica of the battlefield Medic calls home? Ah, the poor girl won't...

Sadly enough, Kanaya probably would do the same thing - that is, fight for all the inmates to be able to return home or rather "hive" to their other friends, and leave each other. They would have a mutually melancholy farewell, wouldn't they...

At any rate, I don't think Rea's about to go attack Linda. I'm sure Bird and Dakotah will prevent her from effectively ending the game! So not to worry about melancholy goodbyes just yet.

On the other hand, she will do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING for her friends, so... I dunno what's gonna happen with her! Frikking problem child of mine!

I can always have Gokudera try to stop her if you want? First with 'reason', or attempt to tie her up if that doesn't work(he might need some help from Eridan or Medic for this one). But by all means, have her and Cananda search for Linda if that's what you want her to! Just thought I'd offer up an alternative ^^

Ah, Gokudera, there's a bro! Kanaya's so glad Andrea actually has a moirail and not just an auspistice a good human friend to keep her in line and not just an alien younger girl... not to mention Linda will probably approve more of this intra-team problem management.

You are very welcome to do whatever you want. She will go absolutely mad if Dera ties her up - "I thought he was my friend, but he isn't... *sob!*"
Trying to reason would be good - she does genuinely like Dera so he can probs talk her out of hunting Linda... But hunting Blue team? I'm not sure even he could convince her!

He'll definitely try to reason with her first. And he doesn't really want her to hunt the BLU team; Gokudera thinks that she and Canada should go into hiding, and leave the rest to him, Eridan and Medic. She and Canada is also part of why he wants to win so badly; he does care for both of them even if he doesn't show it so often, and he's unsure if they'll be able to handle the potential treatment (because she's been tortured so much already, and Canada's so small). Of course, he's also sort of worried that the Eridan and Medic will over-do it however, but..

Poor Dera, so much to worry about XD

It is. And bloody Dera is making this really hard for her. She wants him to be happy and see her friends and she doesn't want Canada to be hurt, but she simply cannot contemplate hurting the others. If only Medic was on the other team. Then, qualms? Gone!!!
