Anyway, it is a joy and a pleasure to meet you all (whenever i meet you). You can find me on AIM at ThaizerTazerLL and not many places else, although if you really want to you can hit me up via PM. I am literally almost always online so I should respond at once! Unless I'm being eaten by a grue, which happens surprisingly often.

I hope to have a Fun and Rewarding Experience™  playing here with you all. I also apologize for my terrible introduction.

Gewehr. :3 I've picked up my fair share of random German words (from anime, funnily enough) + taking formal German language classes, but Gewehr was a new one.

Hilariously, that one I learned from anime. Yay Hetalia? (It's aaaactually from one of Prussia's character songs. :X ) I wish I could take actual German classes, but every. bloody. time. I have signed up for one the class has ended up cancelled. QQ

I've never watched Hetalia (SHOCKER I KNOW)! I got all my Random Anime Words from Princess Tutu background signs. :B and awww that's the lamest thing. There's always online classes but those seem... impractical 38?

GASP! You should! It's on YouTube, and scanlations of the manga can be found online so it's not like it costs money. And there's no actual plot really so you can kinda just... read it... whenever.

And they are terribly impractical to me. :< I don't do well with online coursework. I specifically signed up for all classroom sessions of my college classes that offered online sections because I just can't do e-learning.

Man, I took French specifically to avoid taking Spanish. But I would've done illegal things to get out of French, because it is not on my top ten list of languages I want to learn.

I've never taken an online class but I kind of feel like it would be easier for me? Just because I can take it in a comfortable environment etc. Languages though, much easier to learn from an actual person. My German teacher is actually really rad he shares stories about the culture from when he lived there for 15-20 years. He was around for the fall of the Berlin Wall, that was really cool to hear about from him. Wow shut up Thai no one wants to hear about your German teacher

I was forced into a year or two of both languages (not at the same time, but) in my childhood, so when I got to the point where I could pick a different language I literally could not understand why anyone would take Spanish or French. Although I do have an itching for Italian.

I just... forget. Like right now I should be trying to get a little rest because I am sick, BUT THE INTERNET IS SO SHINY OMG. SO MANY WEBPAGES. I would sit down to do classwork and then... bloop! There goes my attention span!

And your German teacher sounds AWESOME! :O I am kind of jelly. My mother lived in West Berlin as a child and has some stories about that, but she was still pretty young when they left.

See, we had mandatory Spanish for three years in my middle school, and then in eighth grade we could pick either French or Spanish, and by that point I was so sick of Spanish that French was a welcome relief. And if I could have done the honours program without picking a language, I would have, but alas... to get Algebra I and English Lit, I had to take either French or Spanish. I was going to take German in high school, but then we moved. D:

Oh boo D: My school is actually a pretty language-based school as in it offers many more languages than a lot of other schools do - I know we have Russian, we might have Polish but I'm not sure - and two years of a language is mandatory, but since we have such a variety most people are happy with the language they choose.
